Traction Decompression

Flexion distraction and traction in chiropractic is a technique for treating spinal disk problems using a special kind of treatment table which allows the doctor to decompress the spinal area which is causing the pain in order to relieve pressure on the affected nerve root as the herniated nucleus of the disk returns to its normal position in the center of the damaged disk. The technique requires special skill on the part of the doctor and the use of specialized equipment which is available at Mission Grove Chiropractic.

Dr Harris treats patients who have bulging, ruptured or herniated discs, including arm and leg pain (sciatica), using the flexion distraction and traction techniques. These are a safe and gentle alternative to neck and lower back surgery and are also appropriate for failed neck and back surgery patients.
